B2B Presentations

Let's look beyond PowerPoint®.

If you need to get your point across face-to-face with your customers then you'll feel more confident and present better if you're backed by a presentation that's slicker, better argued and more coherently structured than anything they're likely to see from your competitors.

The Configurative Channel on YouTube

The Configurative Presentation Channel on YouTube gives you a glimpse of what can be achieved when you take your presentations beyond PowerPoint

There's more to it than bullet points

Take a moment to ask yourself what a presentation is there to do. Is its principal purpose to support you or replace you?  To look at most presentations you'd probably draw the conclusion that the latter is usually true.  Screens crammed with text; whole sentences jemmied into spaces too small to accommodate them, and flow charts that are illegible from three feet away.

If you're intent on putting your whole presentation on the screen, save yourself some time and effort: don't turn up.

A good presentation sits behind the presenter.  It provides support and visual interest; it clarifies complex points; it helps the audience to remember and relate important facts.  But it shouldn't present itself.  If it does, what are you there for?

That's an important fact to consider, because we're always looking for that essential balance between the presenter and the presentation.  Get it right and presenting is easier and your audience more attentive.

The Right Message

If you want to be sure your audience hears, understands and acts on the information you give them, you need to structure your message to suit their needs, not yours.  That means taking the time to bring out what they have to gain from working with you.  It's surprising how difficult it can be to work out what those core gains really are, so our presentation consultancy service could be a great way of separating the woods from the trees.

Domestic & General win business with Configurative

Domestic & General making its point

Every presenter needs an attentive and enthusiastic audience.  When the message is clear and relevant, it's amazing how the presentation flows.  Your audience follows your thread, understands the point you're making.

So the visual presentation of your proposition isn't just about good-looking graphics.  The way each screen develops from the one before, the way a point morphs into a heading, the whole sense of your presentation is a matter of flow and attention management.

Simple Controls

Presentation Remote Control

You can't present well if you're groping around the screen for the right button.  In general you should need to do no more than click the remote control or hit the space bar.  But a Configurative presentation often needs to perform some pretty sophisticated operations.  So part of our job is to make sure you can produce fireworks on-screen without performing gymnastics on the podium.

Presentations to go

You're one of those incredibly rare people who plans everything well in advance. Your presentations never include a last-minute panic and a late night looking for a decent quality customer logo.

Do they?

So since you're never steamrollered by your own deadlines you won't need to know that we can work incredibly fast.  We don't thrive on all-nighters, but if that's what's required to pull the fat out of the fire...

But whether it's an eleventh hour dash or a painstakingly planned project, the presentation we hand over to you is ready to run and impress.  Of course, the more notice you give us, the more we can put into your presentation.  So if you want us to create 3D animations, compose and produce the background music or shoot and edit the music, just try to give us the time to do it.

 Who Does What?

Our design guys know what they're doing.  They know how to use the on-screen space so that your presentation is clear and legible without being boring and plain.  But that doesn't suggest that your own design people don't have their own capabilities.  We're not precious about working with your own designs if that's how you feel most comfortable.  And if you want to hand us your corporate branding guidelines, we promise to stick with what your original designers intended.

The same goes for content and scripting.  If you want some help with putting it all together then we're ready and eager to help with presentation consultancy.  But if you're happier providing us with a finished screen-by-screen flow, then that's exactly what we'll work from.

The Full System

If all you want is a one-off presentation then there's no reason for complicating matters further.  And if it's likely that you'll be making profound changes later, we may well suggest Microsoft PowerPoint as the best platform for producing your presentation.  As we've already stated, we genuinely believe it's a great product.  The solution we'll suggest to you will take all the issues into account.  Here are a few of the options:

Straightforward PowerPoint

It's surprising what can be achieved, both visually and interactively with PowerPoint.  Sometimes it's insisted on by exhibition and conference organisers, so it's an important component of our armoury.  The important issue here is that PowerPoint doesn't have to look like PowerPoint.  Believe us, we've proved it lots of times.

Fixed Configurative Presentations

If time's pressing, this is often the best solution.  We can produce your presentation as a stand-alone Configurative executable in an astonishingly short time, thanks to our presentation building toolkits.

Editable Systems

Configurative really shows its colours when you need to make regular presentations.  The Configurative Module Manager lets you make quick, easy changes without compromising on design integrity or functionality.  If you operate a large sales force, you can even update all the presentations in the field from a single, central location.

There's clearly a lot more to say about what we could achieve together.  So the logical first step would be to contact us.
